Multi-day trekking is where the Atlas gives up its real rewards — the Azzaden gorge and its abandoned granaries, the Aït Bouguemez Happy Valley with its threshing floors and painted villages, the high plateaux of the Mgoun massif and the saffron country around Jebel Siroua. Guided treks run from two nights (the classic Toubkal ascent, from €319 per person) to six-day traverses, all including a local Berber guide, mule support, guesthouse or refuge accommodation, freshly prepared meals and private transfers from Marrakech.
